“The works have movements embedded into them; hurling, stabbing, thrashing movements. They are big physical movements together with big narratives taken from warzones, both literal and ongoing, inside of her and raging all around her, and us. They include cultural, political, gender and environmental wars. She remixes snippets of information from a variety of sources, taken off toilet walls, from current affairs, systems of psychology and spiritual explorations, and podcasts heard in her studio.”

“Veronica works, and thinks with her whole body straight into the material of clay. Her thoughts and movements influence and manipulate the earthy material. She has a physical intelligence, which is apparent in her body of work more than most artists I know. Her foundation is in drawing and has evolved into the third dimension in her 25 years of art practice.”
